Are you allowed to take Cell Phones into the O2?

I’m going to the O2 Arena tonight, and I was wondering if I could take my iphone? It’s got a video app, and voice recording.
There’s a body & bag search before you go in. You can take photos with a non professional camera, but nothing else. (no video, recording, ectra)
I do want to take videos and stuff, but what are the chances of getting caught & thrown out?
and Will I be let in with my phone, or is it safer to leave it at home?
I haven’t been to a big venue before
