I ripped out this Canon SLR camera?

I personally think it's a decent deal … I would not worry too much is greater. I have a 6MP Pentax I still love the image quality. I was majoring in photography for several years and work in a professional photo lab and put the image quality of my 6MP on most cameras for more than 10 million pesos that I see. Slightly more than 5MP mostly is a exaggeration. I think he did well to get something inexpensive to learn and as you feel you need the features of the new (more expensive) cameras can be upgraded. I would look into getting a good lens of his camera, and a plan to build a "system", so if you decide to upgrade already wear nice for him. Remember that the most important for capturing an image is the glass.
