Camera Iris Design
Where I can find a quick action trigger but simple for a science project, less complicated than a camera OBT
the need a very sinple design that operates with just a push, can be spring, but I need a shutter that opens and closes quickly (or design I can do same.) The iris shutter on a camera is too complicated for my project but it would be ideal if I could get a simpler version. I just want to know some of resources / providers of names or alternative ideas to the camera shutter. Thanks for any help.
Google "guillotine shutter" and pay attention especially the large format and historical entries. You can also use LCD screens rescued as light valves. Depending on the application, a mirror hanging of a filament can be tightened to move the light in and out of an area very quickly. I hope one of these is worth it for you.
