Camera Kite

Took aerial photographs using a disposable camera, comet, wire hanger … How do I do?

There was a common household object used as a timer. No electronics / electricity was involved. The kite was only one string. What was and how I do it? Bands rubber were used (sorry, I forgot to mention it), but did not use silly putty as the timer as the link. I used a little more than a timer.
