how do i clean my lens on my camera?

hello guys, i have an expensive wide angle lens and i was wondering how do i clean it, if i was using it outside and some rain or dirt got on it, or just dust from laying around, whats the proper way to clean a leans? and this is obviously without having to buy a kit because i know that is an option as well.

There are cloths you can buy at any camera store that you should use that are degigned for cleaning lenses. Also check out this link it will show you. Its done by Canon but will work for any brand. Be sure to check out the other videos while you are there. I have learned a great deal from some of them.
