Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM Lens
Sigma has declares the 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM, a large-aperture short telephoto lens which is bound to attract the interest of budding portraitists. Featuring a hypersonic focus motor with full-time manual focus override, the lens uses a 9-blade diaphragm for attractive background blur, and has a minimum focus distance of 85cm. It comes with a lens hood adapter for ASP-C/DX users that enlarge the length of the hood to give more effective shading.
Designed with SLD glass and a glass mold element outstanding colour correction is achieved for all types of aberrations and advanced optical performance is ensured. It is outfitted with a rear focus system that minimized instability of aberration caused by focusing and the Super Multi Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting even in rear light photography. HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) guarantee quiet and high speed autofocus ability and the round 9 blade diaphragm creates pleasant out-of-focus highlights.
This large aperture Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens optimized for use with Canon digital SLR cameras features a focal length of 85mm, ensuring a natural perspective. The large aperture of F1.4 is especially perfect for portrait and low light photography. When used on digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor, the lens effectively becomes a 127.5mm F1.4 lens. One SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element and one glass mold element give excellent correction for all types of aberrations and ensure better optical performance.
This Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens has a round 9 blade diaphragm which creates an good-looking blur to the out of focus images. This Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens is supplied with a Petal-type hood to block out irrelevant light. For digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor, a dedicated hood adapter, which expands the length of the lens hood, is supplied and enables the hood to block out extraneous light more efficiently.
