What does the # on the camera eg: m1 640×80 ,m21600x1200 m3 3072×1728 etc.?

I want to photograph a large painting 18×24. I am have a digital print made in a poster size. I am looking for the best setting to photograph the painting to get the best resolution. I lost my camera manual. Its a canon Power Shot A560. Can anyone help

The best setting would be the highest number

These numbers refer to the number of pixels in each direction the image will take, You can find the total pixels by multiplying them just like an AREA problem
