Windows Movie Maker problem downloading clips off camera!?

This never happened with my old camera but i bought a new one and its doing something weird.
Once i put the chip inside my computer i took the clips off of my camera and saved it to my computer.Then once i go to Windows Movie Maker and open the clips onto there,i put them in the timeline.But once i watch it in the timeline it just shows a picture of the beginning of the clip….it doesnt show the clip.
And no it doesnt say the clip is missing or that its having problems.
Whats goin on!?

not sure exactly what you mean
are they jpegs or .avi clips
did you save them as DV-AVI
I find windows movie maker doesn’t save the complete clip properly sometimes, i’ve had to go into my documents, my videos, and drag the “untitled” (unless you named them) to the desktop, then import them into windows movie maker again.
The bottom line is, when putting your clips into Windows Movie Maker, make sure when you drag them to the timeline that they are the same size as the one you imported.
