Camera Zoom Wow Macro
Tamron 70-300mm or Sigma 70-300mm for Nikon D70?
I’m not a novice camera guy but I don’t know exactly what lense I should get. I only plan on shooting at 300mm for outdoorsy type shots. Like wow that castle is far away yet i’d like to take a picture where it doesn’t seem like I’m so far away. If that makes sense.
I would get the comparable Nikon lense but it’s like a $400 difference in price so I’m looking at the two below:
Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens
or
Sigma Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO Zoom Macro Autofocus Lens
Any input would be appreciated. I need to make the purchase ASAP as we leave for Germany next week Saturday. Thanks

I own 3 Tamron lens, 2 of them are for my Canon 35mm SLRs and they are a 35-135 f/3.5 & 80-200 f/2.8L The other one is for my Canon XTi and it’s a 18-250 f/3.5 macro zoom and I really like the results, whether standard size prints or enlargements.
I believe the Sigma optics are not as good as Tamron’s or Nikons, more of a low-end ..budget.
