Copyright scanning became Art of Photoshop brushes, etc?
In places like Deviantart, some people make Photoshop brushes from illustrations or photographs from books and offer them for download and even charge for them sometimes. Sometimes brushes also make images from anywhere Internet ("I made these brushes from images I found on google). As if Google was synonymous with free images, public property! Not bad for making brushes book illustrations or photographs and then offer them as Photoshop brushes / textures / stock? Or that people can use them as long as they are involved as Roy Lichtenstein did cartoon vignet that exploded on canvas and painted?
Is likely to depend on whether original artist gives license to others to modify their work. It seems that the final result of the use of brushes and simplify the process of adapting the work of others ", which likely fall in the laws of fair use. However, this responsibility does not lie with the manufacturer of brush. I disagree with those who charge for brushes, unless specifically have permission from the original artist.
